Francesco Basso

Music Producer and Composer

Francesco Basso is an Italian composer and producer based in London, UK. His work can be heard in films, theatre and advertising.

He graduated from Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA) with a Bachelor degree in Contemporary Writing and Production.

Francesco recently wrote the soundtrack for the documentary “Humanity Last: Refugees Still Hope, directed by Molly Calliste, who won Best Feature Documentary at the Nice Film Festival, in April 2019

Previously, Francesco scored the soundtrack for numerous short films and theatre plays, produced the music for several radio and TV commercials; worked with recording studios specialized in the production of new talents and collaborate with Tv shows as an arranger/orchestrator for the live orchestra.

Among those works, he collaborated with composer Giovanni Rotondo for the soundtrack of the Tv serial Il guidice Meschino that went on air in prime time on the Italian flagship public television channel. Francesco also scored the award winning short film Vera's Song directed by New York City based director Snigdha Kapoor.

His extensive studies in music theory makes him able to arrange and orchestrate music for any kind of instrumentation, presenting scores and parts with professional criteria. He also produces digital music using his state of the art studio, consisting in good hardware equipment and a very update selection of virtual instruments.

Francesco is always looking for the next project that will inspire him and others.
